With a timeless black and white colour-scheme and using contemporary materials and storage solutions, this Federation-style kitchen renovation by Prestige Kitchens maintains its traditional charm.
“The clients were after a custom-designed kitchen in a Federation style to complement the rest of their home. Key elements of this style include the impressive mantle with Federation-profile capping and corbels that frame the large free-standing oven, as well as the profile of the cabinets and traditional tiled splashback. The black-and-white scheme is striking yet timeless. The internal hardware was chosen to maximise the limited space. This includes full-extension soft-close Blum drawers and Blum Orga-line inserts for internal organisation. There’s also a pull-out spice rack, tray cabinet and pull-out corner units. The microwave was placed under the benchtop to not only conceal it, but to also free up bench space. The laundry was modified and a wall removed to allow for a full walk-in pantry. Clever design meant a great deal was achieved in a small space, with the result being a much larger-looking kitchen.”
