With a custom-built mantle and cap moulding, this kitchen is given added flair – and its all in the finer details
“This kitchen renovation is in a large home located in Yarrambat, Vic, and the brief was for a modern yet timeless high-end version of a French provincial-style kitchen. This was achieved by using seamless-profile cabinet doors highlighted with fluted panels and rosettes on the peninsular back, and corbels holding up the mantel. The focal point of this large kitchen is the cooktop area, which was achieved by creating the custom-built mantel, designed to exact specifications for the client. With matching glass doors and storage cabinets positioned either side, we were able to obtain great symmetry and truly accentuate this fantastic section of the kitchen. A large entertaining and serving bench was also important to the clients, and the colour of the granite benchtop really makes this part of the kitchen stand out too. The custom-built cap mould running around the top of all the overhead cabinets provides an impressive finishing touch for this contemporary country kitchen.”
