It’s that time of year again when chefs, exhibitors and food and wine lovers alike flock to the hottest show in town – the Good Food & Wine Show. The show first opened its doors in Sydney on Friday, before it moves on to Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth to do repeat shows.
I was fortunate enough to be there on the starting day in Sydney and I have to admit this is the first Good Food & Wine Show I’ve attended. Every corner offers something different. Whether you choose to be front and centre at a live cooking demonstration or want to check out the latest in kitchen appliances, the Good Food & Wine Show has it all. Not to mention, a great selection of fine food and wine to taste and take home.
The line-up of Australian celebrity chefs included Matt Moran and Tobie Puttock and since he was such a massive hit last year, the Good Food & Wine Show welcomed back celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay. With a string of best-selling books and hit television shows to his name, it was easy to see why he was one of the star attractions at this year’s show. Keeping the audience on their toes with his fine culinary skills and quirky anecdotes, Gordon Ramsay did what he does best – cook up a storm!
This controversial celebrity chef also teamed up with LG Electronics Australia to unveil its new range of integrated kitchen appliances at the event. The appliances are designed to complement LG’s existing cooking range. Sleek, clean lines now define the modern kitchen, explained LG Electronics Australia national manager Major Appliance Sales, Murray Richardson. Today, we are seeking a new look for our home kitchens and that is the growing need to hide our appliances, like our fridges and dishwashers, he adds, it’s all about integration. The new line of sophisticated appliances consist of a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
