On tonight’s episode of The Block… Scott Cam unveiled plans for a gorgeous rooftop garden, Shelly Craft predicted a room win for Dan and Carleen, Julia and Sasha came to blows, and the Blockheads provided us with some bathroom style inspiration.

  1. Double showers and vanities

These are on-trend at the moment and are bound to rise in popularity thanks to The Block. Double vanities are a particularly effective way to increase the functionality of a bathroom, while adding a touch of luxury to the space.

  1. Feature tiles

Dan and Carleen’s feature floor tiles really caught our eye during this episode—we think this a particularly creative way to add an element of interest to an otherwise plain or minimalist space. Julia and Sasha’s (very pricey) feature wall tiles too were a beautiful addition to the space. However, be weary of using textured tiles for bench-like surfaces—as they found out during the episode, this could make things incredibly uncomfortable.

  1. Little luxuries

If a hint of luxe is what you’re after, consider gold tapware. The custom-made gold tapware did wonders for the tone of Kim and Chris’ main bathroom. Metallics have intrinsic luxe connotations and incorporating gold into tapware allows for just the right amount of exposure for it to be luxurious without becoming overpowering.
