Going solar once meant installing bulky arrays and ugly racking mounted on your roof.

But new, sleek, solar technology has arrived to make these cumbersome eyesores a thing of the past. Featuring an aesthetically pleasing rooftop finish, the Sunshine BIPV from GoodWe lies flush with normal roof tile panels for a subtle look, perfect for a new build or extensive renovation. Not only is it sleek, this complete solar roof tile system also maximises the available space on your rooftop to generate more solar power for your home.

“The Sunshine Tile Series is compatible with traditional roofing tiles and has a toughened double-glazed structure to ensure the structural integrity of your roof,” says John Wright from GoodWe. “Equipped with roof ventilation, heat dissipation structure and dense drainage technology, the Sunshine Tile roof is not only easy to install, it also generates more power by utilising more roof space, creating an ecological and environmentally friendly living experience.”

GoodWe Solar Options

The Sunshine BIPV tiles come in two colour options to suit most homes and have been extensively tested to cope with Australia’s extreme climates and hazardous weather conditions. They can withstand hurricane-force wind; are self-cleaning; provide unobstructed drainage, structural waterproofing and cooling; and have been Class A fire tested. The Sunshine BIPV’s light weight and rapid installation make it a perfect solar option for all new builds.

Increasing the range to include EV chargers, GoodWe can now provide a complete solar home solution dubbed the “EcoSmart Home”. “With the release of our BIPV solar rooftop product, along with a high-voltage battery and much more, we have further strengthened our position as a leader in renewables and accelerating the energy transition,” says GoodWe Australia country manager Dean Williamson.
