Sydney home owners about to renovate or design a new home will have the chance to get some free advice on minimising costs and maximising profit on their renovations or new home design at a FREE 20 minute consultation with an Architect during the Sydney HIA Home Show.
Ian Agnew, New South Wales General Manager of Archicentre said, “People will be able to make an appointment for a 20 minute free consultation with a qualified architect, via the Archicentre website to book their consultation. During the consultation an Archicentre architect will look at the feasibility of the plans and provide a guide on what the project could cost.”
“The initiative is aimed at helping home owners and renovators avoid budget blow outs, a major issue for both renovations and new housing design if people do not do their homework on design and costs before embarking on a project.”
Mr Agnew said the consultation can cover a review of the home’s current potential for renovation looking at issues such as extending up, undertaking a more economic renovation under the roofline or adding a lifestyle ‘wow factor’ such as opening up the back of the home to the garden or outdoor living area.
“Architects with their design skills can also discuss money saving sustainable design to significantly reduce household costs by helping homes stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter without the use of mechanical air conditioning and heating, thereby cutting ever increasing energy costs.”
