The numerous advantages of using granite for a pool’s paving are difficult to beat

Tasman Grey granite has been utilised extensively throughout this outdoor project in Melbourne, not only for coping and paving around pools but also for the tiles in the outdoor entertaining space, brought to fruition by Butterworth Landscapes.

For Granite Works, this material was an obvious, natural decision. “Granite is a hard-wearing, durable product that looks amazing and requires almost no long-term maintenance,” explains Jordan Taylor, director of Granite Works. “It’s the perfect choice for pool and alfresco areas, so homeowners can entertain guests without the worry of staining or damaging their stone.”

Tasman Grey granite is available in a range of textures suitable for almost any application. For this particular project, Sabo Design opted for a Flamed finish, which boasts incredible slip resistance while retaining a soft texture underfoot.

This magnificent modern pool, designed by Sabo Design and built by Show Piece Pools, is generous despite the small size of the block and the limited space with which to work. “Although she worked within a small area, Lily Sabo from Sabo Design has managed to not only include a great-size pool, but also an outdoor entertaining area and beautiful garden with an open lawn,” says Jordan.
