This backyard and existing pool were given the ultimate makeover
Neutral Bay wanted to transform their space into a tranquil haven, perfect for relaxation, while still providing room for their children to play. Enlisting the help of architect Chris Owen and Artesian Pools, the backyard was given a total overhaul and now features a new pool, stunning landscaping and beautiful stone retaining walls.
Being a busy family, functionality was a key element of the pool design. The new pool was constructed inside the original kidney-shaped pool, which was set at the rear of the property. The site had difficult access points=QUOTE= so keeping the pool in this part of the backyard was the best solution possible and kept the largest grassed area for entertaining and children’s activities.

A new rectangular pool, measuring 10m x 5m, was built into the outdated curved structure, which now complements the tranquil landscaping and modern home. Taking full advantage of the space, a beautiful merbau timber deck and matching timber fence is featured around the pool with a timber bench seat along the back wall for swimmers to take a break and relax. A standout feature of the pool is the deck and slide incorporated into the design for the children to play and dive.
Spa Electrics blue LEDs light up the pool creating an exquisite backyard feature in the evenings. Eco-friendly elements include an Elite Hideaway pool cover and solar heating.
