For this busy young family of five, outdoor fun is always on the agenda thanks to their sleek new pool, alfresco space and basketball court.
With a request for a low-maintenance and family-friendly pool design, Newtech Pools was tasked with the design and build of this in-ground rectangular concrete pool, situated on a generous-sized 1350sqm block in the Melbourne suburb of Langwarrin.
The family of five — two adults and three children aged eight, four and two — had just completed their new home build with Newtech Homes, so it was a natural choice to select
Newtech Pools to bring their pool dreams to life.
“The family wanted a pool that was easy for their young children to swim in, so we designed one with a shallow beach swim-out area (roughly 3x3m),” says Newtech Pools. “This was their favourite feature of the pool by far!”
The 11m-long pool is positioned on the side of the house and surrounded by granite coping and 140mm spotted gum laid by Newtech Homes. Meanwhile, the interior sparkles thanks to the addition of Arctic White glass tiles.
When the family are at home and not in the water, they can be found on their own basketball court shooting hoops or enjoying the alfresco area — the complete package for family fun. “Our building side of the business designed and constructed the landscape, including the alfresco and basketball court,” says Newtech Pools.
