This stylish, modern pool features an amazing vertical raindrop water feature
Built as a renovation to an existing concrete pool, this new design by Quality Dolphin Pools is a seamless extension to the home renovation. Designed with a vertical raindrop water feature, this rejuvenated modern pool blends with the stylish design of the luxury house. The pool nestles beside the family house with a walk-over feature of 10 stepping stones leading to the grand entrance.
The vertical raindrop water feature comes with LED lighting and two laser-cut metal artworks placed either side, with LED back lighting. Jandy Laminar deck jets are placed either side of the steps as another water feature. The pool boasts that extra wow factor when the multi-coloured lights of the water features are turned on at night. The wall of the water feature hides the pool equipment, making it both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
The homeowners asked for a swimming pool with ample space for playing and relaxation, while being large enough to swim laps. The entrance steps have been widened to act as ledges and wading areas where the owners can relax after a busy day. The lighting on the inside walls of the pool allow for swimming and unwinding in the evening.
There is an unobstructed view of the pool from the living room and other areas so parents are able to monitor the safety of their children. The addition of the gas heater allows the family to heat the pool to their desired temperature and enjoy year-round swimming.
This renovated pool complements and enhances the appeal of the residence. It is lined with Mediterranean-blue mosaics and has three dolphin-shaped mosaics on the steps. This Quality Dolphin Pools’ design follows the principle of good design, which is to create superior forms and functions that are practical and unique to their surroundings.
A family-run company, Quality Dolphin Pools was founded in 1971. The company now builds approximately 100 to 150 pools and spas per year, specialising in building and renovating concrete pools, spas and water features.
