For this hard-working couple who enjoy relaxing and entertaining, a showpiece pool with easy access was high on their wish list. Their large block in the Adelaide suburb of Glen Osmond has a steep slope as well as great views, and the homeowners’ architect worked closely with them to create an infinity-edge pool and spa which was a unique and challenging build but was made to suit their house build.
“This 10m-long pool was designed to capture the breathtaking views of our amazing city,” says Tony Romeo, owner of TG Excavations & Unique Pools, who built the mosaic-tiled pool and spa. From the first storey of this amazing house there are uninterrupted views from all rooms. In addition, from the ground floor, the owners can enjoy the view of the beautiful pool waterfall which flows from the amazing 3m infinity-edge wall.
As is often the case with steep sites, challenges were experienced during the build. A steep driveway presented difficulties, especially for the concrete trucks. “We had to call in a crane when one of the trucks found itself in a very dangerous situation,” says Tony.
