For their home in suburban Sydney, this client’s goal was to create an enticing oasis — a place to relax, recharge and enjoy. With their vision brought to life and built by Equilibrium Pools, this backyard swimming pool and landscape now offer the family a relaxing, yet functional space.
With three teenage daughters, the owners wanted not only an outdoor area for entertainment, but also a functional space for their sloping block. The pool itself has a fully tiled interior with travertine stone rebate coping and tiled surrounds. “Along with the modern and contemporary pool, we added retaining walls, built-in seating, a pergola and a timber lounging deck to give the client different garden zones within their sloping block,” explains Rob Rooney, founding director of Equilibrium Pools.
Due to the Sydney Water easement, the design and placement of this 8m-long rectangular swimming pool was limited. Equilibrium Pools heavily modified the original design, by Eco Design, to meet council and Sydney Water requirements, while staying true to the client brief.
