A spectacular infinity-edge pool overlooking Port Phillip Bay not only provides a stunning view but creates the illusion of a pool disappearing into the sea
These homeowners dreamed of a fabulous feature pool at the front of their beautiful Bellarine Peninsula property, which not only enjoys amazing water views but also provides fantastic street appeal.
Their luxurious beachfront property in the coastal town has a 2m slope from one side to the other. “To balance the 2m slope of the land and add appeal, we built a glass-tiled wet edge,” explain Tim Sprague and Stephen Lloyd, co-owners of Kiama Pools. “The wet edge creates the illusion of a continuous flow of water from the pool to the ocean.”
The stunning glass-tiled pool is an irregular shape — 6.7m x 4.2m at the east end and 3.6m at the west end — with a beach area and infinity edge. Full Aqualink automation was installed, with water feature bubblers between the beach area and the main pool.
“Here, as with all of our projects, we worked with the clients’ wishes, their property and landscape, and created a pool that looks amazing and is built to last,” say Tim and Stephen. “This is a pool to be enjoyed for many years to come.”
