Enhance your home’s value with decking solutions

Futurewood supplies a premium- quality range of environmentally friendly, timber-alternative building and outdoor products that includes timber-look composite screening, cladding and decking solutions.

As well as supplying its standard range of low-maintenance products, Futurewood can work with you to devise solutions that will ensure your deck perfectly fits your needs.

For big projects, this might mean custom-made decking in a non-standard length, width or colour. Or if you have an ugly old concrete patio and you want to build a deck over it, the solution might come in the guise of an ultra-low aluminium subframe. Often these concreted spaces have a low step and doors that open out onto to them, creating a maximum height problem should you want to install a deck on top. Futurewood’s subrame offers a flexible solution allowing you to build a deck where it would have otherwise not fit.

The images shown here are of three recent deck projects that benefitted from Futurewood’s ability to help homeowners find the solution that best suited their outdoor space and enhanced the design.

For the project pictured on the bottom of the facing page, CleverDeck Original decking in the colour Platinum was used to harmonise with the serene seaside location. Futurewood offers up to 26 colours across the different CleverDeck composite decking ranges. Platinum is a contemporary colour — a cool, coastal shade of light grey that is part of the Original decking range and perfectly suits the idyllic beachside setting.

CleverDeck Original decking boards have the look and feel of a timber plank, and have grooved edges that work seamlessly with Futurewood’s concealed fix clipping system. They will not rot, splinter or cup and the concealed fixing provides a clean finish.

The cosy, family-friendly backyard deck shown at the top of the facing page was built using extra-wide CleverDeck Xtreme 185mm decking boards and the colour was customised to complement the subtle hues of the garden and please the owners of the property.

CleverDeck Xtreme is a “capped” co-extruded decking board, meaning it has a hard outer shell made from virgin polymers that encapsulate a composite timber core. It is virtually waterproof, making it very hard to stain and very easy to clean.

The project featured above used the low-height subframe system, which features aluminium joists and adjustable-height pedestals, to enable the outdated paved patio to be converted to a slick new deck covered with CleverDeck Xtreme 138mm-wide composite decking in the colour Rustic Merbau.

Futurewood’s low-height subframe and decking solution comes with the option of different-sized adjustable pedestals so that you can cover a range of different heights and easily achieve a level deck or, if desired, a slight fall away from the house.

Futurewood offers quality alternatives to traditional timber products and the range of low-maintenance composite timber options gives you plenty of reasons to talk to Futurewood about your next decking, screening or architectural cladding project.
