Approached by some past clients to give this outdoor room a refresh, the team at Outdoor Secrets got to work transforming the area with an impressive green wall
With the aim of replacing an old struggling hedge and integrating more greenery into this gorgeous outdoor space, Outdoor Secrets added a large vertical green wall to separate and screen out the neighbourhood beyond – while serving as an eye-catching feature wall.
Uncommon at this size in a residential landscape project, the large green wall (from Vertikal) is the centrepiece of the makeover. Consisting of a variety of plants carefully curated to ensure a mix of textures and patterns while thriving in the shady environment, the wall is complemented by multi-coloured LED lights (from LED Outdoor) controlled by the client’s phone.
Removing an old hedge from the space meant that it was essential to find new ways to maintain privacy. A louvre screen was decided to be the perfect solution. The new screen allows the homeowners to open and close the space whenever they choose; providing protection from the elements while keeping a light feeling in the space through clever use of bright powder coated steel in ‘surfmist’.
