Weinor Australia is a specialist in external shading solutions.

“We have the widest range of folding-arm awnings, retractable conservatory roof systems, waterproof retracting roofs and exterior roller blinds available on the Australian market,” says Simon Meyer, managing director at Weinor Australia.

With a slew of European design awards under its belt, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, Weinor offers a standard range of 56 powder-coat colours and the largest range of acrylic and polyester fabrics available in the county. “All powder coating is done in our German factories and over 99 per cent of all our aluminium profiles are powder coated at their finished size, which means no raw aluminium edges in the finished products that can cause corrosion,” explains Simon. “Weinor has long-life arms that have been tested to 100,000 cycles, or 20 years’ worth of life expectancy, and they use aircraft construction technology to make their drop forged arms. The company also has an exterior roller blind range that uses the smallest cassette available on the market (only 75mm) to span a massive 6000mm width. Most systems on the market start at about 120mm cassettes to span only 5000mm.”

Weinor’s latest offering is the Kubata awning, which can span up to 7000mm width in one awning. The cubic design allows the awning to sit flush when mounted against a wall, making the fixings invisible. Weinor also has a range of integrated LED lights and infrared heaters that can be powder coated to seamlessly integrate with its awning and roof systems.

Weinor retractable roof systems come with patented Optistretch Zip technology, which sets the company apart from its competitors. This unique technology provides optimal fabric tension and extra wind stability. All Weinor folding-arm awnings also have an integrated water-management drainage system that helps direct water off the awnings when set at the right pitch. “With more and more people living outdoors, making the space outside as liveable as possible is vitally important,” adds Simon. “Not only can they provide shelter from the sun, wind and rain, Weinor products such as the Tempura Quadra heater can extend the usable days of your outdoor entertaining area by taking the chill off early winter mornings or late autumn afternoons.”

Weinor awnings are available throughout Australia and New Zealand via the company’s experienced dealer network. When quality and design matter, there is no better choice than a Weinor shading solution.
