These homeowners were after a colourful outdoor kitchen, and these UV-stable coloured cabinets were the perfect solution for this uncovered area

Enjoying the great outdoors is a breeze when you have the right outdoor kitchen, and the team from LimeTree Alfresco can take care of everything. From the fridge to the splashback and every cooking appliance under the sun, you’ll never want to eat within four walls again.

LimeTree Alfresco has been crafting outdoor kitchen magic for more than 25 years. The company adds value and function to underutilised areas of the home and extends the living spaces of Australians. Case in point: The Green Machine on the Mornington Peninsula.

The outdoor kitchen of this property in the seaside town of Mt Eliza hits you like a spray of citrus to the eye — in the best way possible. The uncovered paved area boasts superior cabinetry using LimeTree’s own PVC weatherboard, with 316 marine-grade stainless steel.

“A custom-built outdoor kitchen will add value to any home,” says LimeTree director Adam Douglas. “With the right design and inclusions it becomes its own self-contained mini kitchen with plenty of entertaining flexibility for the home owner.”

The Mount Eliza clients were after a colourful outdoor space, and LimeTree took cues from its name when deciding on the right hues for the setting. All the doors and drawers are made from external-grade aluminium frames with lime green Perspex inserts, while the 40mm Corian benchtops were finished in the Rain Cloud colourway. The Corian Rain Cloud MIXA sink with stainless-steel base and Rhino Single Door Alfresco Beverage Centre join an impressive Rinnai built-in barbecue.

This daring outdoor kitchen reveals the power and influence colour can have on a space. In this instance, it sets the tone for a fresh, light-hearted outdoor environment. Not keen on lime green? Not a problem. Whether you have a shoebox-sized balcony or a palatial backyard, LimeTree can fit it out to suit the setting and the budget. The proof is in the lime pudding.
