A classic design inspired by the existing architecture creates a stunning visual in this Sydney backyard
The classic, clean lines of this stunning pool enhance the beauty of this home’s entertaining space. The pool was previously positioned in the centre of the backyard, which meant there was limited space available for the family’s children and pets to play. Good Manors Pool + Garden was asked to modernise the existing pebblecreet pool to make it more practical.
Maximising the property’s potential, Good Manors Pool + Garden completely demolished the old pool and rebuilt a new one to the back boundary of the backyard. This enlarged the garden and created more space. The pool’s new position means the family can take advantage of the sunny location all year, allowing them to use the pool three out of four seasons with the use of solar pool heating.
The new position and design of the pool also visually enhance the backyard. Travertine coping and pavers in neutral tones coupled with blue ceramic pool tiles give this poolscape a beautiful beachy feel. Surrounding greenery from the trees and plants along with the timber decking, furniture and outdoor fire pit create an harmonious environment.
The team at Good Manors Pool + Garden have a strong design aesthetic and respect the surrounding landscapes of their projects. They designed and built the entire outdoor area for this client including the lighting, drainage, plumbing, carpentry and sandstone retaining.
The company included a number of environmentally friendly factors, such as FSC-certified Australian native spotted gum for the timber decking. This particular hardwood is environmentally sustainable, resilient and has a beautiful finish. Also included were a sub-surface drip-line tank-fed irrigation system and a mineral pool system, which sanitises the water without the need for excessive chemicals.
Ensuring it was sympathetic to the existing architecture and location of this property, Good Manors Pool + Garden revamped this family’s pool into a beautiful visual that can be enjoyed from all aspects. The calming greenery along with the serenity of the blue from the pool make this backyard a truly tranquil space.
