Step inside this dreamy, light-filled home by Starr Constructions and discover a custom residence that’s both full of surprises and designed perfectly for the owners
With their children growing, this couple decided it was the right time to build their dream home. They desired a comfy, open space filled with lots of light and plenty of room for visiting family and friends. To complete their vision, they turned to Starr Constructions to create a peaceful Zen-like abode, open to sun, sky and the outdoors. “The clients wanted a family home where they could entertain in comfort and style,” say Nino Sanzari and Jon Vithoulka of Starr Constructions, who were entrusted with the build. “They also wanted an open-style living area, which was to combine the outdoors and incorporate pool views.”
Encompassing two floors, the residence takes a less-is-more approach to decorating. Inside, the owners have opted for a neutral palette of pure white tiles, soft textures and subtle timber accents to form a restful, spacious feel. The addition of floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors makes the space feel larger with the abundance of natural light that streams through the space. They also capture the magnificent views afforded to the home’s location. The ground level includes the dining area, kitchen and outdoor entertaining area. The first level incorporates the bedrooms and bathroom.
This dreamy, light-filled home also invites nature in, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living. The open-plan layout entices the homeowners to venture into a serene landscape and pool area. “We have no real favourite part of the home, every room was done to satisfaction; however the open-style living and dining area, along with the overall look of the home being so sleek, would be a favourite,” say Nino and Jon.
Elegant simplicity at its best, this space does not disappoint. Sweeping views, an intimate outdoor area and hardworking materials create an inviting atmosphere that exemplifies modern design. Here, Starr Constructions have nailed minimalism – and we’re living for it!
