Standing proud in a sunny corner block in the leafy suburb of Indooroopilly sits the very impressive, Graham Street.

This Hamptons style home is a mix of the traditional Hamptons style, with a great emphasis on contemporary living. A seamless blending of the two different design styles.

Around the corner sits its next-door neighbour, Marston Avenue. Drawing again from the Hampton’s style this new build features a timeless relaxed design and a luxurious atmosphere. Two different houses, both built to sell, both requiring a beautiful, inviting to ensure that the property had that ‘wow’ factor right from the word go.

Both houses were built by O’Shea & Sons Builders in Brisbane. Architect designed but with tight budgetary restraints, the team at O’Shea know you only get one chance at a first impression. Hoping to make at least one part of the process simple, they called B&D.

B&D State Sales Manager for QLD, Warwick Crouch, was more than happy to help. “The clients came back with the doors they had in mind, both houses had to have different doors so we sat down and used the B&D door visualiser so they could see exactly what the door would look like on their home” says Warwick.

Maree O’Shea of O’Shea builders says “Because of the small lots and the close proximity to the neighbours there were no windows in either garage. To remain true to that ‘Hamptons style’ we needed a garage door with windows to achieve the aesthetic that the client was after and we just knew that B&D would be perfect.”

The result? The Graham Street residence features the Panelift Icon Seville with Stockton windows in Dover White. The colour of the door and the James Hardie cladding marry together beautifully, with the linear lines in the door mirroring that of the cladding.

The Marsden residence features the premium Panelift Icon Statesman door, also in Dover White with the matching Statesman windows. “The Dover White colour used on the Marsden home was chosen to offset the Monument coloured trim on the gutters and Surfmist coloured roof” Maree says.

The Graham residence went on the market on a Friday and was under contract on Monday, recording the 3rd highest price in Brisbane that week.

Warwick says “We’re thrilled to hear that not only were the clients happy with the outcome of their B&D garage doors but that the market recognised the premium quality of the entire home. When the garage can account for up to 60% of the façade of your home, it’s important when you’re trying to make an impression that you don’t discount the impact the door can make”.
