Red Hill Marvel. Valued at more than $4 million, it is an architectural marvel that stands as a testament to good design that values precision and client vision. It is also a beautiful example of how the right windows and doors can enhance a built structure. In this case, Miglas supplied everything from the windows to the doors. This included fixed sash windows and French centre-hinged doors.
An award-winning home in the nation’s capital. Designed by Adam Hobill of Adam Hobill Design, the journey began in late 2018 with a humble sketch. The design brief was clear. To craft a home that exudes traditional elegance while championing connectivity to outdoor spaces, natural light and ventilation. The site’s generous width paved the way for a symmetrical footprint, with rooms radiating off a central spine to harness natural ventilation and light. A Key to the design was an outdoor entertainment expanse that flawlessly wove the pool into the entertainment hub. This vision came to life impeccably. The backyard now serves as a summer sanctuary, while also offering a firepit for a winter retreat.
Collaboration with the client began in early 2019. After over 12 months of refining the design, came the groundbreaking moment in June 2020. 21 months later in May 2022, the vision arrived for a splendid three-storey home, complementing its surrounding. Overtime, the landscaping will evolve to highlight the home’s beauty. Its bitumen driveways, front fencing, hedges and piers will continue to echo the heritage of the streetscape.
