This kitchen was designed specifically to take advantage of the stunning surrounding environment
This kitchen’s homeowners wanted a functional space that during the week could service the family but on the weekend entertain guests. The kitchen was designed to meet this desire while capturing the breathtaking sight of the outside valley’s beautiful bushland.
Bi-fold doors were used to bring the outdoors in, allowing the kitchen to join the alfresco area with its views of the environment. Another notable key feature of the kitchen was the use of solid surfaces, with Staron® components utilised for their look and ability to withstand environmental elements such as UV light.
To help retain the linear feel and flow of the space Smeg cooking appliances were banked together, while integrated fridges were placed just inside the rear bi-fold doors to allow convenient access for people inside or outside. The kitchen space was also made big enough to allow multiple people, ensuring the cook was not isolated from the entertainment.
