Designed with classic French-provincial style in mind, this kitchen by Damco Kitchens embraces modern technology and design as well as being stylish and functional.
“The client loves French provincial style so we recreated the look by having classic white cabinets with a Ballarat profile against the darker colours of the walls, stone benchtop and slate floor. Other typical features include the French-door glass top cabinets and bronze handles while timber accents, including the stools, add a bit of a rustic touch. The stove is typically the focal point of French provincial kitchens so we centred it and framed it with the mantel and angles, which really draws your eye to that area. While traditionally, the mantel would extend right down to the benchtop, the client preferred not to do this in order to free up more space around the cooktop, which also gives it a more modern look. There’s dedicated bench space for small appliances along the main wall while we maximised storage below the benchtops by having as many drawers as the space would allow.”
