Nestled in a luxury Potts Point apartment with breathtaking city and foreshore views, this kitchen renovation by Nouvelle Designer Kitchens & Bathrooms balances functionality with refined elegance.
The original space was small and lacked both storage and benchtop areas, prompting a complete transformation into a sleek and efficient culinary haven.
A minimalist, two-tone palette was carefully selected to elevate the aesthetic while maintaining a sense of openness. Soft grey closed wall units contrast subtly with warm white joinery, ensuring a timeless yet contemporary feel. The choice of a mirror splashback was a masterstroke, allowing the spectacular cityscape to be reflected throughout the kitchen, enhancing both
depth and light.
At the heart of the design, a striking island crafted from Caesarstone Fresh Concrete provides ample workspace while seamlessly complementing the cement-look floor tiles. The island also functions as an informal dining space, reinforcing the kitchen’s role as a central hub for both cooking and socialising. Above, ultra-modern pendant lights introduce a touch of glamour, their reflective surfaces echoing the mirror splashback’s sophisticated charm.
Storage solutions were a key priority, addressed through a combination of handleless cabinetry, lift-up wall units, a spacious pantry, and cleverly designed corner storage. The addition of an appliance cabinet keeps benchtops clutter-free, ensuring a streamlined look. Open display cabinets inject warmth and personality into the space, offering opportunities to showcase curated pieces without compromising the kitchen’s clean lines.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the redesign prioritised practicality. An eat-in kitchen was essential, with seating carefully chosen to be visually unobtrusive while adding sculptural interest. Additionally, a dedicated office area was integrated, allowing the homeowner to fully appreciate the apartment’s stunning outlook while working or unwinding.
The result is a kitchen that embodies light, space, and understated luxury – a sophisticated reflection of its prestigious setting.
