Reno Rumble week four saw two uniquely stunning kitchens – both fitting the respective briefs; ‘contemporary art deco’ and ‘mid-century American.’
The Bluetongues, Carly & Leighton, were in charge of transforming Alice’s small kitchen space and successfully created an open plan, art-deco style using a colour palette of Alaskan Gloss Graphite and Pearl Metallic with Caesarstone® benchtops in Raw Concrete including a geometric marble tile splashback. The effortless internal drawers on the spacious central island bench and built-in wine fridges, are not only practical decisions, but are perfect for entertaining. Alice is delighted that the kitchen is open plan; “We spend a lot of time cooking there. It’s contemporary with some retro touches, and we love how it connects so well with the rest of the house.”
Josh and Jenna from the Red Backs, created a mid-century American dream with a modern twist. The warm timber-grain cabinetry complements the appliances perfectly, while the open shelving provides opportunity to add a splash of colour and ensure space is maximised. Homeowner Stefani loves the clever cabinetry and storage allowing more room for family and social activities, “The new kitchen takes up less space and provides greater functionality without sacrificing style and design quality.”
