Raw sophistication: a ‘lifestyle’ kitchen

This stunning kitchen was built for the long term, its design a focus on ‘family and lifestyle’

“The homeowners requested their kitchen design to incorporate their present lifestyle and ensure that it was a home that could easily accommodate their future together for the long term. With this in mind, this kitchen was designed to be a functional environment that would hold its own alluring qualities but won’t compete with the breathtaking views.

The silky smooth characteristics of two-pack satin finish were utilised for the main door, to overcome the possibility of too much glare from the ceiling-to-floor windows. The Raw Concrete benchtop in a subtle honed finish also helps reduce glare while beautifully contrasting against the glossy Basalto benchtop.

The benchtop is complemented by a glass splashback, which reflects the stunning northern vista. The homeowners requested the butler’s pantry to incorporate the main fridge, thus removing its presence from the kitchen itself.

From beautifully textural surfaces to the stunning additional decorative finishes, the space emanates a raw yet sophisticated vibe consistent with the open-plan nature of the adjoining living spaces.”
