Queensland kitchen transformation

From drab Queenslander to period style elegance, this kitchen has been totally transformed by Dana Kitchens.

“The owners of this heritage-style Queenslander approached us to design their new kitchen after they saw one of our projects in Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly. Their brief was to create a practical, family-friendly space that was elegant and stylish but not too ornate. It also had to have a cosy feel but be suitable for entertaining. This kitchen is special because it blends seamlessly with the rest of the home and the elegant furniture surrounding it. Standout features include our signature Dana-style mantel, the butler’s sink, door-style end panels, and the unique furniture-style design of the jarrah timber double-layer benchtop, which adds to the kitchen’s classic look. As the benchtop is long and wide and features a high-gloss finish, it feels like an elegant dining table rather than an island bench. A Carrara marble benchtop with lambs-tongue edge detail wraps around the kitchen and provides plenty of workspace, while ample storage is found in furniture ply cabinetry and drawers that line the space.”
