Combining provincial style with modern functional elements, this kitchen is both cleverly designed and user friendly
“Functionality and personal touches reign supreme in this Bankstown, Sydney, kitchen. The owners requested a provincial style balanced with modern functional elements and plenty of storage. The classic white cabinetry and tiled floor form a
neutral backdrop for the design, allowing the two-tone mosaic splashback to draw your eye to a space that would otherwise be flat and dull. At the heart of it all is the elegant island bench, which anchors the utility of the kitchen with its dual purpose of food preparation and casual seating. Finished with a solid timber top, the island oozes provincial charm and contrasts perfectly with its surroundings. Storage plays a major role in this kitchen with a spacious walk-in pantry and a variety of clever solutions from Blum, such as spice holders, plate holders and cutlery inserts. A wall of cabinets provides the perfect hiding place for a number of high-end appliances, including two refrigerators and a dishwasher. The effect is a seamless look and superior functionality.”
