The owners were giving their Victorian home a total renovation
and had dreams of one large open area for their kitchen, dining and living areas leading out to their backyard — allowing for family and friends to interact together in the home
“Incorporating a butler’s pantry under the staircase is very practical as it houses the microwave, kettle, toaster and pantry items, which meant the visual aspect of the kitchen was not compromised. Waterfall ends on the island bench and handleless cabinetry on overhead cupboards bring the kitchen together. This design successfully incorporated everything the kitchen needed in keeping with the elegant style of the home but with modern storage solutions such as drawers, cargo bin and the pantry. The island bench in Smartstone Carrara with the undermount sink and spacious centre island also complements the modern design. Natural light floods the space from the back bi-fold doors and glass atrium.”
