The kitchen in this stunning 1882 stone villa has been transformed, with modern materials used to refresh vintage
elements
“Situated within a stunning 1882 stone villa, this kitchen was transformed into a modern classic with quirky traditional elements.
The project was part of a complete home renovation which saw the dining and kitchen spaces switched so the new kitchen could be the hub between the indoor and outdoor areas.
The kitchen design had to include clean lines mixed with traditional elements, with the inclusion of an outdoor kitchen for entertaining a large family.
The clients wanted to employ quality materials and practical space planning. We made their vision a reality through the use of glossy cabinetry, long drawers, appliance cabinets, tall pantry cupboards with pull-out drawers, two sleek sinks and corner drawers to provide ultimate functionality and create the desired modern look.
The pressed-metal feature panel on the island and the mantle finished in metallic pearl tie the kitchen to the traditional elements of the home. Expressing the clients’ love of green, the splashback and fridge are finished in a metallic patterned glass, and toughened glass handles add the perfect touch to a modern design with fresh opulence.”
