Designing a kitchen for a “forever home” might seem a big ask for many designers, but it’s clear in this instance that Kitchen Shop Qld relished the challenge with outstanding results.
Ceilings were altered and walls removed and reconfigured to allow for a butler’s pantry, completely transforming this formerly tired, dated zone. The end result is a testament to timeless style and practicality.
Granite countertops and classic Shaker-style joinery in crisp white now introduce a Hamptons aesthetic to the space, while a complementary island in gloss blue takes pride of place, tying the look into the rest of the home’s decor.
A black sink, mixer tap and handles add definition, glass pendants and a patterned-tile splashback add character and quality appliances ensure functionality is taken care of.
At the request of the owners, drawers have been used wherever possible to maximise storage. Together with the granite benchtops, these carry through to the spacious butler’s pantry, where masses of open shelving ensure everything has its place.
Indeed, generous swathes of storage and bench space are everywhere, suggesting this will be the scene of a lifetime of happy events and wonderful memories.
