Bringing new life to a previously dark and narrow space, this beautiful kitchen underwent a meticulous transformation.
The addition of new lighting and large windows allowed natural light to flood the area. The new design incorporates personalised touches that reflect the homeowner’s lifestyle. Mirrors were also strategically placed to maximize natural light, while custom cabinetry, innovative storage solutions, and high-end appliances were tailored to specific culinary needs.
Another element that contributed to brightening the room was the selection of Staron Supreme Cotton White for all the benchtops. Staron’s UV stability makes it an excellent option with so much natural light coming into the room. In addition, Staron was also used to encase the rangehood structure, further enhancing the minimalist material selection. Staron Supreme Cotton White with its subtle veining created a beautiful contrast with the dark cabinets.
Unique details and materials, such as American Oak panels and battens stained in Japan Black, cabinetry handles routed into the panels, and the use of 12mm Staron Supreme Cotton White to emphasise the thin benchtop profile, added character to the design.
The harmonious colour palette sets a sublime ambience through the contrast of warm travertine flooring, dark-stained timber, and white benchtops. Thoughtful lighting design played a crucial role in this space. Ceiling-recessed black linear light fittings accentuated the galley-style kitchen and the substantial 4-meter-long island bench at its centre. Ultimately, this bespoke kitchen design strikes a balance between aesthetics and functionality, making it the heart of the home and uniquely suited to the homeowners’ tastes and needs.
The result exceeded the client’s expectations, delivering not just a functional and family-friendly space but also a lasting sense of elegance.
