A stunning kitchen transformation, turning an old space into an open and welcoming place for family and friends, by the team at Kate Anderson Design.
The homeowners wanted a better flow to the surrounding areas in their kitchen transformation, as well as improved storage options and an overall fresher and lighter atmosphere.
Previously, the only storage was high cupboards with very little drawer space, making it impractical for a busy family. There was also an existing fish tank that they wanted to keep in the same spot but incorporated into the new design.
The main statements of this kitchen are the Staron kitchen island and benchtops in Supreme Morning Sky which adds an airy touch to this space, coupled with the beautiful backlit Mario Romano feature wall panel. Utilising Blum Space Step cabinet closures also made the high overhead cabinetry more accessible and easier to use.
By shifting the orientation of the kitchen island, the designer cultivated a more cohesive flow and more specific regions throughout the space. American oak touches add that bit of warmth and texture while also tying the room together. Similarly, the stunning addition of brushed tapware complements the timber to create a refreshed yet timeless feel.
