This sublime beauty is a kitchen by day and an entertaining area by night

Family owned and operated since 1991, Germancraft is one of the country’s leading cabinetry manufacturers. The professional team strives to design and construct kitchens and bathrooms of the highest standard and has a reputation built on excellent customer service.
When the owners of this home approached Germancraft to build their new kitchen, they took with them a long list of requirements. They wanted a functional and modern kitchen that could seat up to 12 people. It needed to be able to transform from a kitchen in the daytime to an entertaining area come nightfall. They had already picked out a warm, neutral colour scheme and wanted the kitchen to have seamless joinery without any handles.
Stepping into the new kitchen, the most striking feature is its classy good looks. The back-lit green onyx effortlessly complements the natural timber veneer Sublime Walnut feature details throughout. Timber veneer waterfall ends on the island bench and the handle-free drawers are slick touches. On top of that, the design and decor of this kitchen match the rest of the house.
By day, this is every bit the practical modern kitchen with ample bench space for food preparation and plenty of storage to prevent clutter. It seats six to 12 people and offers an ideal spot for the kids to sit and do their homework when they get home from school. There’s a slide-out glass splashback and extra features such as a servery window to the butler’s pantry to add an individual touch. An impressive list of European appliances adds yet more practicality to the space. And with the green onyx lit up at night, the glowing effect transforms the kitchen into a fabulous bar/entertaining area. With enough seating for several guests and such an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, it’s not hard to picture this kitchen hosting many dinner parties in the years to come.
