Their eclectic taste in furniture and vibrant artwork throughout the residence inspired a contemporary approach to the Hamptons elegance style, creating a seamless blend of traditional charm and modern design.
One of the key objectives was to create a brighter, more spacious atmosphere, while retaining the existing windows within the open-plan space. To achieve this, the designer strategically grouped all tall cabinetry on the north wall, ensuring easy access without obstructing the flow of the hamptons elegance styke kitchen.
The sink was relocated from the island to the east wall bench, allowing for a larger kitchen island as the builders removed the south wall to maximise the available space. The use of two-tone cabinetry, with the island boasting a standout two-pack finish in Caraway against a white backdrop, added depth and character to the design.
To preserve the traditional aesthetic, the designer introduced small decorative details such as profiled doors, skirting around the island, and decorative toe kicks. The sinks and taps were thoughtfully selected to complement the home’s classic style while still embracing the desired contemporary feel.
The kitchen’s material choices were both elegant and practical, with Polytec Hampton profile cabinet doors in Popcorn two-pack finish providing a timeless appeal. The Carrara extra-honed marble benchtops and splashback exuded luxury, offering a sophisticated surface for cooking and meal preparation.
Thoughtful lighting choices, including warm white LED strip lighting inside pocket door cabinets and under the breakfast bar overhang, added a warm and inviting ambience to the space. To meet the family’s culinary needs, high-quality Miele appliances were installed, along with a Liebherr side-by-side fridge/freezer and a Bosch built-in rangehood housed within custom-made decorative cabinetry.
