Looking at the end result you wouldn’t think this Rosemount’s renovation was accomplished inside a bayside Melbourne apartment. It just goes to show what a meticulously planned layout, combined with carefully considered materials, can achieve in a relatively small space.
The key to success lays in the way the high gloss cabinetry flows from the kitchen into the living zone, injecting much needed storage while having the dual benefit of blending the areas seamlessly to create light and space. In terms of function, the design provides a spacious, cutting-edge cooking zone at one end of the stunning stone island bench, allowing multiple people to comfortably prep, cook, clean and also entertain.
The luxury of marble is mirrored in the stencilled glass splashback, breaking up the clean lines of white cabinetry as it moves from kitchen to living room. Stylish inclusions such as the modish Häfele knobs and luxe lighting fixtures finish the look to maximum effect.
EXPERT TIP Being lateral with cabinetry can allow storage to be included in even the narrowest of spaces.
