This stylish, french provincial style kitchen is located in the heart of a newly built family home and was designed with care to tick every box on the homeowners’ kitchen wish list.
However, the original plan was a little different. The new dwelling was to be Hamptons-style in nature, but the original brief presented to Premier Kitchens was more French Provincial. During the design process, the team pared back some of the features that may have clashed with the rest of the home, resulting in this beautiful space.
The homeowners love cooking Indian food for their family and friends and were set on doing all of their traditional Indian cooking in a butler’s pantry to avoid the smells permeating the rest of the house. To accommodate for this, the butler’s pantry was designed to be a fully functional space for such occasions.
The main kitchen is large — perfect for hosting family and friends for meals and long conversations. The island benchtop is perfect for informal meals and presents a cheerful pop of colour to the classic kitchen. The focus of the space are the large windows, which invite light in. This ensures the rooms are bright and airy during daylight hours, and also presents whoever is on washing-up duty with a lovely view of the greenery beyond.
