In 2016, Dawn Powell founded Designing Interiors after a long-standing passion for property. Now five years on, the boutique design studio has grown and resides within the picturesque suburb of Bulimba, Brisbane.
With more than 17 years of industry knowledge and experience among them, the talented designers and staff of Designing Interiors take pride in their award-winning projects and customer service, following their tagline “Creating Spaces as Unique as You”.
“Most of the clients I work with say they need someone they can trust and someone who is just as passionate and excited as they are about creating the feel, flow and function in their day-to-day environments,” says Dawn Powell, design director and founder of the company.
In 2022, Dawn noticed there was a gap to access great interior design services in the Australian market. “Interior design is an essential when designing your home, investment property or commercial space. It can make or break a sale and will save you time and money,” she believes. With this idea in mind, Dawn established a new business, KBC Design, to create services that would be simple, affordable and offered online Australia-wide.
