“This kitchen and butler’s pantry were designed as part of a new build. Shaker-style cabinet fronts are one of the numerous standout details in this space. Specific features have been incorporated in the design with the decorative flutes, skirtings and a custom-made mantle, which follows through to the butler’s pantry.”
“The Classic White satin fronts were chosen to create the illusion of an open, large space, and the black Smeg cooktop and oven were selected to create contrast. The Dulux Timeless Grey Satin fronts on the island and the Rustico engineered oak floor evens out the contrast and succeeds in tying the look together. The plentiful natural light that seeps into both rooms allows the materials used in this project to be seen in their finest form. Cabinet heights have been designed to line up with the height of the house doors, which has allowed bulkheads to be flush with cabinets. The kitchen has been designed to allow for an exceptional amount of storage space, which results in a clutter-free kitchen; storage is available in the base cabinets, to the overheads and tall cabinets and through the doorway into the butler’s pantry. The sideboard has been designed for display purposes but also allows for further storage. Incorporating drawers instead of doors allows for more functional and easier storage. There is also an exceptional amount of working space on the Michelangelo Quartz benchtops in the kitchen and butler’s pantry, while the kitchen island also allows space to dine. The kitchen contains separate cooking, preparation and washing zones which minimises traffic throughout the space. There is also a second cooking, preparation and washing zone in the butler’s pantry which similarly reduces traffic through both areas, and allows for the kitchen to remain tidy.”
