A cozy kitchen design with artful flare

This beautifully designed kitchen from Fresh Kitchen Solutions makes excellent use of warm colours and artful attractions to bring the kitchen to life.

“This architect-designed home features a high raked ceiling over the kitchen, which gave us the opportunity to locate the owners’ pendant lights as the centrepiece above the island bench. The owners are well travelled and it was important to show a few artful objects that they had collected. The pendants were found during their holiday in London and inspired the choice of warm timbers and the burnt orange glass splashback, which has pockets of concealed storage at both sides of the cooktop. Bi-fold panels provide easy access to hidden appliances and the tall cupboard doors conceal stairs that lead down to the cellar below the kitchen. We designed as much symmetry into the joinery as possible and placed lighting in strategic locations. LED strip lighting illuminates the display cupboards and the island bench appears to float.”
