Innovative design makes this kitchen shine
The client’s dream for this project was to create a kitchen with an arresting and contemporary look that matched the clean and modern interiors of the house. Designated to be an entertainer, it was certain the space must be open to the home and complement its main living areas. With this in mind, Kitchen Trends built a room that was highly functional, easy to keep clean and tidy, and visually stunning.
A simple but striking palette of colours and materials was selected and used throughout the kitchen to be in harmony with those found in the surrounding rooms. The always sophisticated choice of Dulux Whisper White was chosen in a semi-gloss finish and applied to the two-pack lacquer cabinetry to set the refined style of the space. Caesarstone benchtops in Cashmere complete the look with understated class. Once the inviting ambience was set, Kitchen Trends ensured the kitchen was an efficient and practical workspace with a range of internal hardware for easy daily use.
An innovative Häfele pop-up power dock was fitted to the island bench to allow it to be used as a work zone when not being used for casual dining, while a range of Häfele storage solutions were included to maximise space and enhance the aesthetics of the room. Blum hardware also features throughout to house the extensive collection of dinner sets and serving platters the owners use for entertaining.
With all the clutter clear from view, the island bench is free to accommodate the many guests that frequent the kitchen to sit, chat and enjoy a glass of wine while awaiting the culinary delights being whipped up in this exceptional kitchen.
