“I wanted the best of both worlds: a cozy and comfortable home that doesn’t come at the expense of the environment,” says Chantel. To maximize their PV system, the Gilberts charge their electric car using the Fronius Wattpilot. “The PV system powers our electric car, allowing our family to drive using the sun’s energy. In the 12 months we’ve had the car, we’ve never needed to use a fast-charging station,” Chantel says happily. The Fronius Wattpilot is key to this efficiency, as it makes the most of surplus PV energy.
