Bigger is better.

Prior to the renovation, the kitchen that Adam Moulday from Rochet Kitchens came face to face with was dated and screaming out for some much needed tender love and care. The homeowners’ brief was simple: bring some life back into the kitchen and turn three living zones into one large entertainer’s kitchen for the whole family and their guests to enjoy. Prior to the renovation, the kitchen was also linked to the family room and dining room, restricting interaction during meal preparation time. Creating one large kitchen out of the space not only added muchneeded storage, but also ensured the family had a place to come together.

The old laminate top with gloss vinyl wrap, small island and cabinets were scrapped and a beautiful new kitchen was born. Two island benches were included, ensuring there would be plenty of room for meal preparation. The stunning chimney and mantelpiece that complement the design of this cooking space are a standout in this entertainer’s kitchen. To give the room that extra touch of character and charisma, fluted panels and plinth board were used. Keeping in mind that every family needs storage, storage and more storage, hidden cabinets were used on the back of the island. Classic style was incorporated with innovative appliances to ensure this dream cooking space never dates. Drab and tired are words that will never again be associated with this home’s beautifully designed new kitchen.
