A New Way to Shop: Augmented Reality from Häfele Home

Between the face masks, hand sanitiser and social distancing, it hasn’t been the ideal time for visiting a showroom to get a feel for the latest homeware products — least of all handles!

That’s why Häfele Home’s new Augmented Reality function is so exciting. Thanks to this technological innovation, you can now experience the company’s products without leaving your home.

Added to Häfele’s range of furniture handles, Augmented Reality enables you to get a feel for how different styles will look on your furniture, using the camera on your smartphone.

Each product page of the handle collection on Häfele Home’s website now includes a “360º View” button, which launches the Augmented Reality feature through your phone’s camera. After selecting in your camera frame where you’d like the handle to be placed, you can zoom in and out, moving your phone to view the handle design from all angles.

The handle stays put in the camera view, as though it’s really been placed onto your furniture — hence the term Augmented Reality. This function currently works on select iPhones and may require Android phones to download or update Google Play Service for AR from the Google Play Store.
