How did you discover Kenwood Kitchens and what made you choose them?
We have lived in Five Dock for just over 30 years and drive past the Kenwood Kitchens display centre regularly. We knew they were well established and the first step was visiting the good-quality showroom to look at the displays and the options.
What was the design process and how did you feel going through it?
The designer who visited was very experienced and we were extremely happy with the process. He spent two hours on the first visit and came up with a new design, then provided some sketches after one hour. The new design was a bit left of field for us, but we agreed with it in this first visit.
How long was the build process and how did the home’s inhabitants cope during this period?
Removal was Wednesday 28th June 2023, and the final step, which entailed tiling the splashback, was on Wednesday 26th July 2023. We coped quite well. The stone benchtop was delivered two weeks after measurement, so we used some ply to provide temporary benchtops for two weeks. The build process schedule
was very efficient and organised. The tradesmen were all very professional and efficient and had worked with Kenwood Kitchens for a number of years. Apart from the design and regular contact from the project manager, this was a major reason why we were very happy with Kenwood.
What is your favourite thing about your new kitchen?
We are very happy with the appearance – the cupboards, handles, benchtop, tiles on splashback and the lighting under top cupboards. We also love the efficient storage, including the large pantry, large cutlery drawer, corner storage for pots and pans which swivels out, quality drawers and fittings.
How has it changed the way you operate in your home?
We now have an island with an extended benchtop and this is good for entertaining. The large pantry makes it easy to store and find items and there is plenty of convenient storage in drawers and cupboards, which makes the kitchen a pleasure to use.
