How did you discover Crystal Bathrooms and what made you choose them?
My husband and I did a bit of research online and found a few companies that did bathroom renovations around our area. We then proceeded to get a few quotes. One of the sales consultants from Crystal Bathrooms came to do the measure. He was very professional and knowledgeable and answered all our questions with confidence. Once we went into the office and experienced the Virtual Reality and the design process, we knew straight away, Crystal Bathrooms was exactly the company we were looking for to renovate our space.
What was the design process and how did you feel going through it?
After the initial measure, we received a lookbook for some inspiration and to let our creative juices flow. We were then invited into the Crystal Bathrooms office for the design and VR consultation.
The design process was my favourite part of the overall experience. It was super exciting as we got to see our dream bathroom come to life, even before the renovations had begun. We got to put on the headset and see our design in Virtual Reality. If we didn’t like something or wanted to change the layout, we were able to make on-the-spot changes right there and then to our design, so the result was exactly what we wanted. This process was amazing and seamless; there was no going back and forth via email or phone with the design.
How long was the building process and how did the home inhabitants cope during the period?
The renovation process took roughly five weeks from start to finish. The team, especially the project manager, did a fantastic job coordinating all the trades and letting us know exactly who was coming and when. Everything was completed on time and to the highest standard.
Our family coped fine during the renovation as we had another bathroom we could use while the work was happening.
What is your favourite thing about your new bathroom?
I love everything about our new bathroom. It is more functional, and all the products, fixtures and fittings work amazingly together. If I had to choose one favourite, it would be the stunning timber vanity. It creates warmth in the room and ties the whole look and room together. It also has a double basin that we didn’t have before, which means my husband and I can both use the bathroom at the same time — perfect!
How has it changed the way you operate in your home?
Every morning and night, I look forward to enjoying my new oasis. The room is more functional and spacious. I love everything about our new bathroom and am super proud of it.
