Real bathroom: Small yet spacious

Gallery

This modern design shows what can be achieved when creating a practical and striking bathroom in a very limited space

We renovated the laundry area about four years ago, and recently we updated the bathroom to create a more spacious design that would match seamlessly with the adjoining laundry and study. We removed a full-length louvre window and also an extractor fan, and we concealed the junction of pipework from the upstairs bathroom by building out the walls, while still providing a cavity for the recessed toilet cistern and a recessed cabinet and basin. The light colour palette, large mirror, and modern, glossy surfaces of the room create a contemporary, spacious feel that opens up the area. The bathroom flows seamlessly into the laundry and study through an open doorway, with the original matching white floor tiles creating unity. This light, modern bathroom demonstrates how space can be used effectively.
