Modern bathroom with yesteryear features

Embracing modern design, this 1920’s Californian Bungalow bathroom has been transformed by Bathrooms & Kitchens by Urban into a chic and luxurious haven.

“This luxurious bathroom belongs to a 1920s’ Californian Bungalow and has replaced an ageing 25-year-old bathroom renovation that the owner had lived with for too long. We worked closely with her throughout the design process to create a bathroom that combines modern convenience with a hint of yesteryear. During the construction process, we found that the whole floor needed to be replaced and levelled. This can often happen in older homes. A new wall was built to create a niche in the shower and another display niche at the end of the vanity. Travertine mosaic tiles at the display niches and at the vanity splashback add to the sense of luxury. The owner sourced the decorative glass pendant, which works beautifully with the curved forms of the bath and basin. The mirror cabinets were a final part of our strategy to give the illusion of space in what was already a large bathroom.”
