A contemporary renovation that has breathed new life into a once-dated pool, this stunning transformation in Sorrento is the perfect example of modern design and craftsmanship.
Breeze Pool Projects has expertly renovated this large lap pool and spa combination, with every detail carefully considered to meet the needs of its owners. The result is a pool that perfectly complements the surrounding space, becoming the centrepiece of the entire backyard.
The renovation involved a complete overhaul of the existing pool, which had suffered from structural issues and worn-out finishes. The pool was originally equipped with dark blue tiles that were falling off, a Quartzon interior that had come loose, and coping that was in poor condition. Breeze Pool Projects stripped the pool back and fully tiled it with beautiful 48mm Origami Frost Mint tiles from The Pool Tile Company, giving it a modern and vibrant bluegrey hue. The new Jupiter drop face coping also added a sleek finish to the pool, now squared off for a more contemporary look. The design focuses on both function and style, providing a spacious, entertainer-friendly layout, with a spa and shallow swim-out area perfect for all ages.
The owners, who use the property as a holiday home, wanted a space for large groups to relax and entertain, especially in the warmer months. The pool’s modern design and features – including the lap pool with connected spa – offer an ideal space for swimming, lounging, and enjoying outdoor living. Breeze Pool Projects team overcame some challenges during the renovation, particularly in terms of accessibility, as the pool was above ground on a sloping block. The team had to carefully remove the old structure and rebuild it, preserving the surrounding wooden deck.
With the pool renovation complete, the owners can now enjoy a low-maintenance, high-quality pool that will last for many years.
