Wanting a contemporary overhaul to their dated ensuite bathroom, the homeowners contacted Bathrooms by Oldham.
Their wish list included a double shower, a bath, a vanity with plenty of storage, and a smart toilet. Though the bathroom you see here looks effortlessly beautiful, navigating the renovation was complex at times.
The plumbing in particular was challenging – the apartment is on the third floor of the complex, and the homeowners did not want to disturb the apartment below to access the plumbing in their ceiling, so the design team had to plan the reno carefully around this.
Ultimately, false walls were used, allowing the team to run the plumbing to where it needed to go and incorporate large niches. This facilitated the double walk-in shower, bath and smart toilet that are central to this bathroom’s timeless luxe aesthetic.
The bathroom’s highlighted marble concave fluted wall adds depth, height and texture to the space, undoubtedly increasing its wow factor appeal. A sensory dimension has been created with soft strip lighting in niches, under the vanity and shaving cabinet, evoking
a sense of tranquillity and refined elegance.
